AeroponX uses a process of growing plants in an air or mist environment (aeroponics). AeroponX is unlike geoponics, which uses soil; hydroponics, which uses a liquid nutrient solution; or aquaponics which uses water and fish waste.
In a basic AeroponX system, the leaves extend above the plant support structure, exposed to LED lighting. The roots of the plant extend below into a computerized chamber that delivers nutrient mists according to the needs of the plant, growth algorithms, & the desired cultivation.
The result is more crop cycles with less water, more nutrients, consistent pricing, cultivated for unique tastes & colors.
AeroponX participates in MIT's open agriculture program.
